Orostachys Chanetii is a small succulent plant that belongs to the Crassulaceae family. It has grayish-green leaves that are often flushed with red and form lax rosettes up to 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter. The leaves are cylindrical with a spiny tip and up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) long.

 

Orostachys Chanetii is a hardy and low-maintenance succulent that can survive in fairly poor soil as long as it is well-draining. It can also tolerate cold temperatures

    • Plant it in a pot with a sandy or gritty soil mix that allows excess water to drain quickly.
    • Place it in a bright location with some direct sunlight, but avoid scorching sun in summer.
    • Water it moderately, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings. Avoid getting water on the rosettes as it may cause rot.
    • Fertilize it every couple of weeks during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half-strength 3.
    • Propagate it by separating the offsets that grow around the mother plant. Cut the stolon close to the offset and plant it in a small pot with well-draining soil.
