Bunny Ear Cactus (Opuntia microdasys) is a popular succulent that is known for its distinctive, furry-looking pads.

Following are some Bunny ear cactus care tips for that you can follow for the best growth.

  • Light: Bunny Ear Cacti prefer bright, direct sunlight but can also tolerate some shade. Avoid placing them in dark, shady areas as this can cause stunted growth.

  • Water: Bunny Ear Cacti are drought-tolerant, but it's important to not over water them. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, and reduce watering during the winter months when the plant goes dormant.

  • Soil: Bunny Ear Cacti prefer well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter. You can use a cactus or succulent potting mix or create your own by mixing regular potting soil with perlite or sand.

  • Temperature: Bunny Ear Cacti are native to Mexico and can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, but they prefer temperatures between 60-85°F (15-29°C).

  • Fertilizer: Bunny Ear Cacti are low-nutrient plants and don't require much fertilizer. You can feed them once a month during the growing season with a cactus or succulent fertilizer
